Customer Advocacy Campaign

Real wins. Real proof. Real impact.
Turning customers wins into powerful stories.

Two editions. Two years. One simple mechanic that turned real customer wins into platform proof. Generating authentic reviews, driving community engagement, and building brand credibility at scale. The result: a campaign that grew stronger, and more valuable, every time it ran.

HireAra had a product recruiters genuinely loved but lacked a structured way to capture or share that value. Reviews on G2, Trustpilot, and Google were thin, and sales was working from feature lists rather than customer evidence. The challenge was clear: build something that could collect real proof, at scale, without it feeling like a request.

Register a Win was built as a single integrated campaign. A collaborative effort across the founding team, with the CEO leading product and engineering, the CRO leading sales, and me leading marketing. The campaign invited recruitment consultants to register a specific, measurable win: time saved, money made, or a candidate placed. In exchange for a cash prize, consultants completed a platform review and a LinkedIn follow as conditions of entry. Rather than a generic review ask, it turned proof collection into something customers actively wanted to participate in.

Recruitment consultants are time sensitive, target-driven, and selective about where they spend their attention. Register a Win flipped the model entirely. Rather than asking for advocacy, it rewarded it. And what made it work so well was what happened next.

In Year 2, every win shared became a story visible to others, on the live landing page, across review platforms, and through social media posts on both the company page and the HireAra team's page. Sparking recognition, fuelling a sense of community, and naturally nudging peers to share their own. Consultants were not just entering a competition; they were reading each other's successes, seeing themselves in those stories, and bringing their own networks into the fold.

No scripts. No pressure. Just real people sharing real results and a campaign that made belonging feel like a reward.

Low friction. High reward. Entirely authentic

Year 1, 2024
Launching the Campaign

The first edition ran for seven weeks across June and July 2024. The creative leaned into energy and momentum: bold, direct, and built to cut through a busy LinkedIn feed.

The goal was simple: test the campaign and find out whether consultants would stop and share a win if it was incentivised with a price draw.

The response exceeded expectations from the first week. Entries came in from across the recruitment sector, spanning independent consultancies to established multi-branch agencies. And the quality of what came in was the real proof.

  • Promoted across email, in-app pop ups, sales outreach, and social channels

The WINS SHARED

reviews.png
  • 74 entries from 53 unique companies across 7 weeks

  • 100% review completion and LinkedIn follow rate

Year 1 proved the campaign approach worked. It established the baseline and gave the team a clear picture of what to sharpen going into Year 2, what all more can be achieved.

Year 2, 2025
Evolving the Campaign

Year 2 was built to be sharper, not just bigger.
The open seven-week format gave way to a structured phased rollout:

  •  a teaser period to build anticipation with video roll out

  •  live review weeks to concentrate participation, and

  •  a public landing page where entries updated in real time, giving consultants a reason to read each other's wins, feel part of a community, and bring others in.

Launching in September 2025, eight months post-acquisition by Access Group, the campaign ran through a period of genuine corporate change. The question was whether customer trust would hold.

It held and scaled too.

What Made It Work ?

"Tell us your win" generates a fundamentally different response than "leave us a review." People like talking about their results, and tying the incentive to a specific, measurable outcome made every entry more useful than a star rating.

Product, sales, and marketing shaped the campaign brief together, so the form questions, incentive structure, and follow-up all served three teams at once.

Asking for numbers, minutes saved, and pounds earned rather than general sentiment gave sales a proof point they could use in a deck, not just a quote to put on a website.

The 2025 version added the features question and restructured the review rotation, meaning the second run was a sharper version of the first, not a copy of it.

Running through a period of corporate change and seeing engagement grow rather than dip is the strongest signal that the customer relationships the campaign was built on were genuine.

How We Closed the Campaign

Ending on a high.

Register a Win_ Winner Announced.mp4
00:00/00:00

A campaign built around real wins deserved a real celebration. So we took the prize directly to the winner, visiting their office with a big cheque and a camera to close Year 1.

What followed was more than a handover. It became one of the strongest pieces of customer content the brand had produced. Being in the room meant we could capture the genuine reaction, the team, and the story behind the win.

That visit produced a full video testimonial, a written case study, and a library of supporting assets that went on to work across:

  • The product website under the customer stories page, in both video and written format

  • Paid social ads

  • Organic LinkedIn posts across the company and team pages

  • Newsletter features

  • Sales decks and demo follow-up materials

It remains one of the strongest pieces of customer proof the product has to date. Not because it was polished. Because it was genuine. A real consultant. A real placement. A real win.

That is what Register a Win was always built to produce. A story worth telling.
